besides me being an editor at GGG, a freelancer expertising community and presence marketing, I also have the privilege of running the most USEFUL podcast in the world called “Geek Army Knife”. Last interview was with Sanjay Khanna of Khanna research where we talked about calm technologies and the things that Orwell didn’t predict… it resulted in a very good episode where we talk about Green and how you are supposed to act on it in the future – enjoy it here
Also according to treehugger.com – Denmark is going to have the world largest fleet of electric hydrogen fuelcell cars..
I will keep you posted when the hydrogen station infrastructure gets going here

Veg Patch Diaries 2008 by Vicky on June 24th, 2008
Although I'm not going to write in any great detail about my veg growing adventures this year I just wanted to do a quick update and let you know (those of you who are interested) that despite not much success last year we haven't given up on the good life yet.

I have been reading a lot lately ( I also owe you wonderful readers a review of John Grants “green marketing manifesto”)But I want to raise another matter today. It seems like we’re in the fight for something bigger than “just” the environment. Apparently it looks like we are the generation who is going to take on the biggest battle. We have 4 global crisis’ going on in the world today. 1. the enviromental crisis2. the food crisis3. the oil crisis4. the financial crisisTo me it might not be a coincidence that all these crisis’ are coming at the same time. I think what the world needs now is “something” that can guide us through this all the way – and I don’t think that the leaders of every nation in the world is going to be capable of agreement. In the danish newspaper information there has been a couple of articles lately describing the crisis in the overall global system. It was called “the end of a supercyclus” and argues that the russian economist Nikolai Kondratiev, probably was right after all. that after 50-60 years of growth – the system needs to reinvent itself. So is there a new depression coming like in the 30s ? – could be…. On the other hand you have a more participatory environment ever ! – existing on the internet. I am sure that we all are going to have a huge impact on this when everything comes to everything. People that does something instead of just watching TV. In my eyes the future looks bright – but exciting ! – and I think this is a test that all humans needs to get together and actually act upon as a whole. I am not frightened but I think that 2008 is going to be a year of dramatic changes – in everybody’s lifes…

I have been real busy these days – amongst several projects I am making an entrepreneurial green kit together with a group of mighty fine ladies from Morgendagens Heltinder (a danish business women network).
So far we are in the process of making a giant brainstorm meeting with green experts from all over Denmark.
Our first task is to develop a green kit for entrepreneurs and small companies so they can see that they have a green choice to make and they can really make a difference in the world. It’s smallstepping but the energy in the group is so incredibly good.
This morning I was reading Vicky’s (rather excellent 5 blogpost piece) “how can a web design company be green and ethical?” and I decided I would like to hear your opinion on:
What can you put in an entrepreneurial green kit ?
I think Vicky made out the essentials – but is there something (product, goods, advice etc.) that these entrepreneurs can’t live without if they choose to become green ?

I have earlier on this blog pledged to only look at “positive green” instead of the “doom of climate change” – there’s so many cool things going on around the globe – and frankly Im tired of living my life worried about the world I am in.
Not that I can’t affect it. I am really turning into a green snob here trying to save as much of my “waste” as possible. But still – yes I am a woman – I am a mother, and Im worried.
The best thing for me is to focus on the positive – and find inspiration for personal green changes instead of freaking out about the climate. So thinks Chris Turner,(via Treehugger) (btw. the picture in the article is from the danish Island “Aeroe” – which has had a really large effect on the greening of Denmark – more about that later.)

I haven’t been able to find the link – but in the programme of Roskilde Festival they claim that there’s a whole area of green and fairtrade (due to the weather for the next couple of days I will join the mud girls global instead of green girls global) at the festival.
the area is the one surrounding the odeon stage – how cool is that ? – has anyone else any good fairtrade/green references from festivals ?
it’s so cool that they are acting on this =)

the enviromental ministry of Denmark has started campaign to get all the inhabitants of Denmark to lower they CO2- emission by a ton.
fx.
- if you turn down your floorheating of your house from 24 to 20 degress you will reduce your co2 emission by 4650 kg a year
- if you take the cellphone recharger out of the plug when it’s not in use, you reduce your co2 emission by 10 kg a year
- if you take 5 mins showers instead of 10 mins showers you reduce your co2 emission by 65 kg a year
I think it’s brilliant that the government is actually doing something concrete for the inhabitants to reduce co2…
now I think we need to look at the overall energy supplies of Denmark.. great
