Kate, its fantastic that you have signed the petition and signed up to the whale newsletter. I absolutely adore whales, I find these gigantic mamals fascinating especially how they communicate with each other. The ‘Dear Greenpeace’ books sounds great, the only kids I know are my two very young cousins (3 and 1 yrs old) I might get it for them and engage them into marine consrvatiion from a young age.

Thanks for that Anna-Lisa, I have just signed the petition and signed up for my free whale newsletter too. Other readers out there might be interested in a children’s book called ‘Dear Greenpeace’ by Simon James about a whale stranded in a little girls pond in her backgarden. It’s one of my favourite picture books and the children I used to teach loved it. It would make a fantastic Christmas present for any child aged between 4-7 and makes for a lovely read if you are a grown up too. I recommend sneaking into your local bookshop for a quick read.
