Let’s Green This City!

Posted on 23 November 2006

Let's Green This CityThere is a new website that has just launched in San Francisco called Let’s Green This City.  This site is going to be the city’s go to place for all that is good ‘n green.

Venables Bell and Partners is the ad agency that was tapped to launch this huge event!  And here’s the best part, I’ve been asked to be a part of it!  I’m so excited!!! I write the “With Your Dollar” column (scroll down a bit, you’ll see a pix of me).

OK San Francisco, and the rest of the world –this is your go to site for all that is green in The City.  Eric Corey Freed of Organic Architect is writing the “At Home” column, Andre Angelatoni of Inspiring Green Leadership writes the “At Work” column with Joel Makower, and Nick Aster of Treehugger fame rounds us out with the “With Your Time” column; I am honored to be amongst such heavy hitters in the environment blogsphere!  Not to mention I’m the only chick on this team. Such is the story of my life (my day job is in construction, so I’m always the only girl there too!)

The launch party was fun and had a good turnout. It was held at Foreign Cinema and San Francisco’s who’s who in the environment and politics (my cousin who works for the Mayor’s office, saw A LOT of her friends there) turned out for the event.

My highlight of the evening (besides my photo on the grass couch) was the coupon book, oh excuse me…THE coupon book I received from the ladies of the Green Zebra; I’m going to dedicate a separate post later on this but for now I’ll just say GO GET ONE!

Look out world it’s either time to go green or go home!
