I bought myself an Onya bag the other week in a sale, and I’ve really grown to love it. Could Anya’s bag fold up so small and sit in my bag without me noticing? I’ve used it just about everyday and the mountain of plastic bags in our kitchen has not grown as a result.
Of course the rational part of me keeps thinking it’s just a gimmick. I could have easily got a cheaper cotton bag. Or I could just make sure I have one of the bags from the aforementioned mountain in my bag at all times, they fold up pretty small. But sometimes it takes a gimmick to make us do something, and here an attractive bag has finally got me regularly refusing plastic bags. I did use to carry a spare around with me, but frequently forgot. Now the Onya lives permanently in my everyday little rucksack, it won’t rip, and is reasonably waterproof.
My one tip for the Onya is to try and unfold it before you get to the head of the till queue…
