Have an Organic Life…

Posted on 30 January 2007

Organic LifeI just wanted quickly to draw everyone’s attention to Organic Life, a great magazine that’s been around for just over a year now.

The Organic Life team is based just down the road from me in Lewes, East Sussex and the magazine (printed on 100% recycled paper - of course!) is crammed full of interesting articles, discussion and debate.

What is particularly useful, from about half way through each monthly issue, are the practical tips and advice on GIY (Grow It Yourself!) herbs, fruit and vegetables.

Taking you through what’s in season when, they have something to suit everyone, from ‘Small’ (old boots, pots and window boxes), to ‘Medium’ (patios and small gardens), to ‘Large’ (big gardens and allotments).

Oh, and I mustn’t forget the great recipes they drop in to tease your tastebuds: Triple Chocolate Brownie and Lemon Baked Cheesecake… yum! Can’t wait to try out those!

You can subscribe online.  The latest issue delves into the debate of whether organic food is really as expensive as people think…

Happy organic living!

I have to agree with Katie here, it’s a great magazine. It’s one of a new generation that are slowly appearing, trying to remove the stigma from “green” living.

Their suggestions tend to be easy to achieve and aren’t as extreme as many of the longer standing green magazines (being able to buy it in WHSmiths and supermarkets demonstrates how much more easily accessible it is)

Breathing Places Christmas Song

Find out what the UK wildlife want from Santa this Christmas.

Breathing Places is an important project about getting involved in conservation and protecting wildlife in the UK. I’m not sure that these animals are 100% anatomically correct though….
