I also caught this "Earth Day Edition" of Pimp my Ride. A little rarar from me: Watching that episode, I felt as though I had spent the last 10 years waiting for the mainstream to embrace energy alternatives and the FACT of global climate change. After watching Xzibit pimp out that Impala, I wanted to take it back. ALL BACK. I mean, for all the good greeniess that was attempted in that episode, they didn't offer the average consumer any really compelling reason to use or advocate for availability of alternative fuels or alternative fuel cars. And in the end, it was a very "have your cake and eat it, too"--instead of saying something substantial about the fundamental things that might need to change about cars and transportation.
