Recently a friend drew my attention to a way that I could help raise money for charity and it not cost me a penny!
Interesting eh? The best part is that all you need to do is search the internet and we all do that don’t we? Of course I’m talking about the search engine, Everyclick.
At Make Hay we support Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust through Everyclick but there are many other conservation and environmental charities to choose from.
All you have to do is register as a corporate or individual supporter (which is very easy) and then get searching. Remember to encourage your colleagues, clients and friends to use Everyclick to search the internet and add a link from your website. Genius!
Rather than have me try to explain what Everyclick is all about here’s Lianne Butler, Everyclick’s CSR Coordinator, to tell you more…
Everyclick.com is a search engine with a difference – we give 50% of our revenue to charities. To date we have given over £150,000 to charity.
Launched in June 2005, everyclick.com is the fastest growing search engine and one of the busiest charity sites in the UK. Last month, more than 850,000 users chose to search the web and raise funds for their favourite charity.
Everyclick.com is a philanthropic enterprise from which everyone benefits. It offers:
- Users - a way of raising funds for their favourite charity, at no cost to themselves, by doing something that 40 million people do each day in the UK – searching the web.
- Charities - a new and sustainable fundraising opportunity with a potential to raise £16 per supporter per year.
- Companies - a unique online advertising and sponsorship platform that can enhance their brand and drive traffic to their website.
Everyclick has a close working relationship with The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), which manages the payments to charities each month. With CAF’s assistance everyclick.com can support and offers a donation facility to all 170,000 charities in the UK.
Thank you Lianne and good luck!
Its also worth mentioning the new green search engine Green Maven which, in their own words, ”has a focus on green, conscious and sustainable websites”.
