I am going out on a limb here to offer you news of this event, because I believe, even though we haven’t yet discussed the zillions of issues around orgasm, that the intent of this event is based in love. Today I learned of a global orgasm event (www.globalorgasm.org) set to take place on the winter solstice, December 22nd- The event was conceived to “effect change in the energy field of the Earth through input of the largest possible surge of human energy.” Any of us who share in the pleasure of regular orgasm can attest to the fact that there is little else we can do in life to create the powerful energetic healing release of energy as that moment provides. The intent of the event is to apply that energy through directed and mindful thoughts during and after the orgasm towards world peace, end of war, end of hunger, end of suffering. The goal is that by creating a seismic shift in the energy field of the earth, it will reduce the dangerous levels of violence and agression.

There is a scientific aspect to the project which supports its feasability. The Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University (http://noosphere.princeton.edu) has previously demonstrated that human consciousness can be measured to have a global impact on matter and energy during widely watched events from disasters to mass meditations. I have long been interested in this type of science and am a believer. I myself might never have thought of applying the power of orgasm to it, but it could really be a genius idea. It certainly couldn’t hurt, just think, youre doing it for the planet… And yet the potential of the project relies on spreading the word, so lets use our incredible access to technology to transform the world we live in.
