		<description>I&#039;m applauding you - I think what you did was brilliant and I&#039;m so glad you had a positive response.

Balloons are something I feel strongly about and, as a mum to a 7 year old, it was always the part about her Birthdays I was never comfortable with. 

This year I bought some from Fair Deal Trading which are  FSC certfied and fairly traded rubber. Ok, not perfect, but my conscience was a little easier (and I only let her put 7 up - one for each year of her life - bad mama :D :D)

I had never quite equated letting balloons go, the equivalent of dumping 50 leaflets somewhere; thanks for giving me a new way of thinking about things; it was very enlightening.
