Every secondary school in the country will receive two copies of the DVD ‘ An Inconvenient Truth’ The Scottish Executive announced this week that Al Gore’s would be shown to teenagers, in a bid to highlight growing concern of climate change to the younger generation.
Ross Finnie, the environment minister, dismissed any suggestion that the film was political propaganda saying he hoed that by showing the film to puplis at a young aged they would make their own minds up about it.
The showing of the documentary is being sponsored by ScottishPower, which runs the coal-fired Longannet and is also a major wind-farm developer.

Wow! This is so promising. I watched this film for the first time last week and I don’t think I’ve heard or seen an explanation about climate change that has been clearer or more powerful.
I’m constantly impressed Paula by all the fantastic things that are happening in Scotland.
